The Burton Swartz Building, once the operations center of the world's largest cypress mill is undergoing restoration. The original building section boasts granite columns and the bronze door from New York's Waldorf Astoria hotel.
Pictures of the building exterior and the garden and memories of local residents have been used to return the site to some of it's turn of the century granduer. The striped awnings were added recently and provide a striking accent to the massive exterior windows.
The interior of the main building has high cathedral ceilings and pecky cypress walls. Renovation and restoration of the main section are about 70% complete.

An 80' diameter fountain is under restoration in the front yard (no, the fountain isn't working yet, but this is how it will look soon)

The office building section was restored first and is occupied by the offices of Sheffield Realty. The enclosed porch is a new addition that will be enclosed in the near future. It serves as an entrance to the offices.
The enclosed garage and the paved parking and drive are recent additions as well. The addition and roofing has been completed.

Landscaping continues with many unique plants and settings. Pictures of the grounds will be posted as the plantings develop this spring and summer.
